Position Overview

The Marketing Technology Specialist at Profitable Media is responsible for driving technical strategy and excellence in all client projects. This role involves leading the development and integration of complex marketing technology solutions, optimizing client platforms for better performance, and ensuring the long-term scalability and stability of implemented solutions. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of our core technologies and a passion for helping clients achieve their business objectives through innovative and effective technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Strategy & Leadership:
    • Develop and execute technical strategies that align with client business goals and long-term visions.
    • Champion technical excellence by recommending and implementing robust, scalable, and future-proof solutions.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, design, content) to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with overall project goals.
  • Platform Management & Optimization:
    • Lead the setup, integration, and optimization of client platforms including Maropost, Salesforce, GoHighLevel, HasOffers (Tune), WeCanTrack, Klaviyo, Sticky.io, WordPress, MemberMouse, and Shopify.
    • Manage e-commerce integrations, payment gateways, and affiliate tracking solutions to maximize client ROI and conversion rates.
    • Ensure all systems are optimized for performance, reliability, and security.
  • Technical Problem Solving & Innovation:
    • Conduct thorough investigations to solve complex technical challenges, utilizing both existing knowledge and new research.
    • Implement and recommend solutions based on the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) methodology to ensure high-quality outcomes.
    • Continuously explore new technologies and methodologies that could benefit client projects and enhance our service offerings.
  • Knowledge Transfer & Team Development:
    • Train and mentor team members on the tech stack and best practices to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality services.
    • Develop documentation, SOPs, and training materials to enhance team capabilities and efficiency.
    • Identify tasks that can be delegated and provide necessary guidance for successful execution.
  • Continuous Improvement & Standardization:
    • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and acting on opportunities to enhance our technical processes and client deliverables.
    • Strive for repeatable, standardized solutions that reflect Profitable Media’s high standards and minimize reliance on individual team members.
    • Actively participate in internal and client-facing meetings to provide technical insights and recommendations.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in a technical leadership role, preferably within a marketing or digital agency environment.
  • Expertise in CRM and Marketing Automation Platforms: GoHighLevel, Klaviyo, Sticky.io.
  • Proficient with Affiliate Marketing Platforms: HasOffers (Tune), WeCanTrack.
  • Strong experience with E-commerce Platforms: Shopify, WordPress (MemberMouse), WooCommerce.
  • In-depth knowledge of Lead Generation and Sales Funnels: ClickFunnels, Leadpages, UnBounce, Instapage.
  • Experience with Payment Gateway Integration: Stripe, Braintree, PayPal, and other major providers.
  • Solid understanding of API integration, webhooks, and middleware solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to technical challenges.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to effectively collaborate with clients and internal teams.
  • Familiarity with front-end and back-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP) is a plus.
  • Ability to stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in marketing technology and e-commerce.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with direct response marketing and a deep understanding of optimizing campaigns for conversion.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading technical projects from inception to completion.
  • Knowledge of data visualization and business intelligence tools (e.g., Google Data Studio, Tableau, Power BI).
